About
Eddie Fields was appointed by the Trump Administration to serve as the state executive executive director of the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) in Oklahoma in May 2025.
Prior to his appointment, Fields served in the Oklahoma State Legislature on both the state house and state senate for over a decade. During his legislative career, Fields was committed to advancing Oklahoma agriculture by advocating for farmers and ranchers. He was vice president of the Agriculture Rural Leadership Committee, chair of the Rules Committee, vice chair of the Appropriations Committee, and the assistant floor leader.
Fields previously served on the Oklahoma Mining Commission and the Oklahoma Ethics Commission. He was a board member for the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association, was previously chairman of the Osage County Cattlemen’s Association, and was an Osage County Farm Bureau board member for 20 years. He also served as vice president of the State Agriculture Rural Leadership from 2016 to 2018, and he graduated from Cattleman’s Leadership Academy, Oklahoma Ag Leadership, and Leadership Oklahoma.
Fields earned a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness from Oklahoma State University (OSU). He is a graduate of distinction in both the OSU Animal Science College and the Ferguson College of Agriculture.
Fields is involved in the family cattle and hay operation in Wynona, Oklahoma, that was established in 1952. Fields Ranch specializes in cattle production while practicing sustainable water and soil conservation practices. The family runs registered Angus and Hereford cattle, commercial pairs, stockers, backgrounding calves, and sells beef directly to consumers.
Fields was raised and currently resides in Wynona, Oklahoma. He operates his ranch with his wife, Christina, a schoolteacher. Fields and Christina have been married for 35 years and have three grown daughters, Tailor, Jacie, and Tristan, who are all active in cattle production and the advancement of agriculture and conservation practices.
