Federal Emergency Management Agency Designates California Counties Primary Natural Disaster Areas Due to Severe Winter Storms, Tornadoes, Flooding, Landslides, and Mudslides

This Presidential disaster declaration allows the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) to extend much-needed emergency credit to producers recovering from natural disasters through emergency loans. Emergency loans can be used to meet various recovery needs including the replacement of essential items such as equipment or livestock, reorganization of a farming operation, or to refinance certain debts. FSA will review the loans based on the extent of losses, security available, and repayment ability.

Triggering Disaster: Severe Winter Storms, Tornadoes,

Flooding, Landslides, and Mudslides January 31 to February 9, 2024. 

Application Deadline: 12/13/2024 

Primary Counties Eligible: Butte, Glenn, Los Angeles, Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, Sutter and Ventura 

Contiguous Counties Also Eligible:

Colusa, Fresno, Kern, Kings, Lake, Mendocino, Orange, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, San Benito, San Bernardino, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Tehama, Yolo and Yuba.
