Low-Interest Physical Loss Loans Available for Producers in Seven Iowa Counties Affected by Natural Disasters

Physical loss loans can help producers repair or replace damaged or destroyed physical property essential to the success of the agricultural operation, including livestock losses. Examples of property commonly affected include essential farm buildings, fixtures to real estate, equipment, livestock, perennial crops, fruit and nut bearing trees and harvested or stored crops and hay.


Triggering Disaster Event (1 of 2 Impacting Iowa):  Tornado, High Winds, and a Flash Flood that occurred May 11 through May 12, 2022:

Application Deadline: Jan. 24, 2023
Primary Counties Eligible: Jackson, MN
Contiguous Areas also Eligible:
Minnesota: Cottonwood, Martin, Nobles and Watonwan
Iowa: Dickinson, Emmet and Osceola

Primary Counties Eligible: Aitkin, Faribault, Nobles and Rock, Minnesota
