Farm Service Agency Now Accepting Nominations for County Committee Members

Columbia, MO, July 7, 2021 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) began accepting nominations for county committee members on June 15. Elections will occur in certain Local Administrative Areas (LAA) for these members who make important decisions about how federal farm programs are administered locally. All nomination forms for the 2021 election must be postmarked or received in the local FSA office by Aug. 2, 2021.

USDA Announces June 2023 Lending Rates for Agricultural Producers

WASHINGTON, June 1, 2023 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced loan interest rates for June 2023, which are effective June 1, 2023. USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) loans provide important access to capital to help agricultural producers start or expand their farming operation, purchase equipment and storage structures or meet cash flow needs.

USDA Announces Dates for Conservation Reserve Program Grasslands Signup

WASHINGTON, July 12, 2021,–– Agricultural producers and landowners can apply for the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) Grasslands signup from today until August 20. This year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) updated signup options to provide greater incentives for producers and increased the program’s conservation and climate benefits, including setting a minimum rental rate and identifying two national priority zones.
